Take the Royal Mail Run Ferry around the Island and visit the Historic Mansion House.

Walks & Wildlife

From The Mansion house there are a number of breath-taking walks around the Island. A short stroll to the sandy beach of Ladys Bay, take the original miners route to the copper mines, or a shaded track through the exotic pines of the redwood track. There is much to see and do. Whilst staying at The Beach House you may see Gannets diving gracefully into the sea, Oyster catches on the shore, or the North Island Weka foraging along the beach looking for small crabs. The beautiful melody of the Tui can be heard throughout the day as they feed off the nectar in the native trees surrounding The Beach House Property. Fantails (Piwakawaka), Wood Pigeons (Kereru) can be spotted, and sometimes Kiwi will be heard at night – The Beach House is surrounded by and abundance of flora and fauna
